WE ARE GETTING pretty well settled in our new building, having moved into it about nine months ago. Some capabilities that we have in our classrooms are definitely at the forefront of technology. We designed our classrooms to have just about every form of 21st century audio-visual technology available to allow the learning experience of our students to be as effective as possible. Additionally, we wanted the technology to be as user-friendly to our faculty as possible. Touch-screen technology is built into custom-designed instructor podiums that give full control to the instructor. We have five classrooms, five conference rooms and one conference hall in our new facility. The classrooms accommodate 30 to 100 students each. The conference rooms are primarily for small meetings of eight to 12 individuals; however, the Martha and Solon Dixon Foundation Executive Conference Room can accommodate 50 participants, and the Conference Hall can accommodate 85 to 150 participants. Chalkboards are a relic of the past, and we have only dry-erase, whiteboards. However, these are not frequently used, as our technology has surpassed the era of an instructor writing as they speak.
