New perochemical project announcements plateaued year-over-year(y-o-y),according to data from Hydrocarbon Processing's Construction Boxscore Database(FIG.l).From January 2018-February 2019,the Construction Boxscore Database recorded 144 new petrochemical project announcements globally.Within the past year,new petrochemical project announcements slightly decreased to 141.Over the past 2 yr,the Asia-Pacific region has dominated in new petrochemical project market share.The region has represented nearly half of all new petrochemical projects since January 2018.
