How Klondyke Strikes Garden Centres rebuilt Stokesley site after fire

A E6m new-build garden centre recently opened in North Yorkshire 19 months after a fire destroyed the original building on 8 April 2018. Strikes Garden Centre Stokesley, bought in 1996, reopened on 29 November 2019. It boasts an in-house bakery, craftand clothing departments and, behind the scenes, an air-source heat pump, underfloor heating and rainwater harvesting, as well as a 220-space car park with electric car chargers, a 300-seat restaurant and 35,000sq m of retail space. The centre was built by RH Irving Construction.
