The publication of the Agriculture Bill last month formally kick-starts the Government's plans to implement a "green Brexit" for farming, the area of the economy most impacted by the UK's withdrawal from the EU from next March.As primary legislation, the bill is largely concerned with enabling and defining Government's overall role in giving financial support to farming in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (though not Scotland) post-Brexit, with much of the detail to be subsequently filled in by Defra in England and the devolved executives in Wales and Northern Ireland.
