摘要

The major waste products of metallurgical production are slags. The amount of steelmaking slag is about 65-150 kg per tonne of crude steel produced. At present, there is an effort to reduce the amount of slag arising, which is possible by pretreatment of pig iron, secondary metallurgy of molten steel and careful selection of batch materials. Despite all efforts, the amount of slag produced represents about 13% of the total batch. The paper focuses exclusively on primary slags from the steelmaking process in the oxygen converter and the electric arc furnace. The chemical and mineralogical composition of the steelmaking slag will be the most significant factor affecting its further potential use. Authors describes hydraulicity of slags as function of composition, and also their next utilization in concrete construction.
