Often times people wonder if their plants are getting enough light, and if they would grow better or produce more fruits and flowers if they provided more light. In outside gardens a similar issue can occur, especially in shady areas. In this case youcan use a simple rule of thumb about how many hours of sunlight a particular plant needs to grow. In greenhouses these rules of thumb are not very accurate since the pattern of light coming into a greenhouse is very complex, affected by glazing, obstructions and differences in orientation or angles of light.
