As the demand for energy continues to grow, industry standards and specifications delivering energy should be applied to the infrastructure that is being built to ensure safe delivery, while protecting the environment. The US's rapid growth of crude oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas production has resulted in plans to build approximately 30 new pipelines in the next two years to meet demand. The same is true globally, with the number of miles of pipeline beginning construction in 2019 to be double what will be completed in 2019.
