A revolution in how heating engineers are able to train and upskill is urgently needed to meet the challenges posed by the decarbonisation of the UK's buildings, the H&V News summit has heard. A panel discussing the key outcomes from the first day of this year's Future of HVAC Summit concluded that the future of low-carbon heat would not be based on any single technology. Instead, industry will be expected to provide thermal comfort to a building via a range of different technologies that could include energy storage and even smarter controls.
