Chinese industry players are skeptical about whether the recent blockbuster LNG agreements between China and the US earlier this month will become reality any time soon. Most of what was signed were preliminary agreements than legally binding contracts, meaning that the deals might be more political than credible business deals, insiders told World Gas Intelligence. Current market conditions are still a major stumbling block for their completion, sources agreed.
