ON 29TH OF May Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed several decrees finalising the legislative framework for the investment quota reform that has been under discussion since 2015. The final terms of the programme for the renewal of fishing fleet were finally determined, so the fishing companies now are free to amend existing projects, while long-term planning is now a greater possibility for shipyards, reports Vladislav Vorotnikov.The key points of reform were settled largely had been expected. According to information posted on the official governmental website, the authorities allocated 20% of all fishing quotas under the investment projects for the renewal of the fishing fleet. These quotas should be allocated for a period of fifteen years.
