Propane Industry Calls for Delay Of OSHA Crane, Derricks Rule

The National Propane Gas Asso'cration (NPGA) said May 8 that, on behalf of its members, it is calling on newly confirmed U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta to immediately delay the compliance deadline for certain provisions of the Clane and Der-ricks in Construction regulation. The current compliance deadline of Nov. 10, 2017 is a three-year extension of the initial deadline. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) intended to propose modifications to the crane operator certification component of the regulation during the extension, but has failed to do so.
