Tenova delivers six EAF 'Consteel' plants to China

Castellanza/Italy (Tenova) - Steelmaking industries in China are converting their shops plants with electric arc furnaces technology (EAF). Italian Tenova has won contracts for a total of six EAF type "Consteel Evolution". In order to improve the reduction rate of CO_2 emissions promoted by Chinese government, the Chinese steelmakers are starting to increase the share of electrical steelmaking in comparison to Blast Furnace (BF) or Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF).
