摘要

The limestone wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) process with forced-oxidation to produce a gypsum by-product has been the dominant desulfurization solution used globally in the power industry for 30 years on coal-fired systems. The process is favored for high reliability and performance, a low cost and abundantly available reagent, and a salable by-product. The WFGD system is known to provide additional benefits including polishing particulate emissions, other acid gases and trace elements, and is known for partial capture of mercury from the flue gas.
