Ticks and Lyme borreliosis

In October 2017, after more than a year of unusual and debilitating neurological symptoms, I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease.Lyme disease is spread to animals and humans through the bite of a tick infected with the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. It is not only considered the most prevalent arthropod-borne human disease in Europe and the US, but its incidence appears to be increasing.
