Proactive Solutions: Major fleet reports 97% drop in tyre-related breakdowns - Goodyear extends portfolio with mobile, OTR additions

It's two years since Goodyear introduced its Proactive Solutions and with it made the bold promise of effectively providing fleets with a 'crystal ball' that sees tyre-related problems before they ever occur. At the time, Goodyear said partners who tested the pilot solution saw their tyre-related breakdowns fall by up to 75 per cent and fleet tyre maintenance costs drop by as much as 70 per cent. Fast forward to late 2018, and feedback from Goodyear's fleet customers is now in. The tyre maker shared a selection of these at the Eurotyre 2018 conference in Brussels, including the experiences of ECM (Vehicle Delivery Service) Ltd, the largest privately-owned UK car carrier firm.
