We can all agree that our greatest challenge as leaders is having our direct reports execute theway we would, given the situation they are about to address. Essentially, we would like "mini-me's" working for us so we could count on tasks to be completed just the same way we would complete the task, right?Well, in our experience, that is generally not a reality. As leaders we ask ourselves, "Should we pick this battle?" And if we picked every battle, how would we get anything done ourselves? Well, it is time for you to be intentional, or proactive, in addressing the situation - because the minute a task is not performed to the completed product you expect, and you don't address that the outcome is not as you expected it, mediocrity will start to pervade throughout your organization.
