TRONOX: First Pre-tax Profit Since Q1 2013

For Q2 2017, Tronox Ltd. (headquartered in Stamford, CT) declared a small pre-tax profit -for the first time since Q1 2013. The pre-tax profit was $US 8 million on sales revenues of $US 622 million. After deducting tax at $US 3 million and profit attributable to minority interests in various partly-owned ventures, there remained a post-tax income attributable to Tronox shareholders of $US 3 million. This was not sufficient to offset the post-tax attributable loss of $US 41 million recorded for 01 2017.
