KRONOS: Ran At Near-Capacity to Gain Market Share in Europe & North America

Over the past three years, Kronos edged past Venator to claim fourth place in the world league of TiO2 pigment producers in terms of output volume, with average capacity utilisation rates at its eight TiO2 pigment plants running at or near 100%. Moreover, despite the overall downturn in consumption, Kronos increased its sales volume by 15% from 491,000 tonnes in 2018 to 566,000 tonnes in 2019. This naturally meant a gain in market-share. In fact, Kronos reported that it had raised its share of the European market from 13% to 18% and had raised its share of the North American market from 17% to 19%.
