BACKGROUND: Elevated immune monitoring (IM), as measured by adenosine triphosphate (ATP) release from activated lymphocytes, has been suggested to represent an under-immunosuppressed state. Its association with the development of angiographic cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) is unknown.
