摘要

The Army-Baylor Program in Health andBusiness Administration has pursued a fundamental and transformative path in how students are taught, evaluated, and developed throughout the two-year graduate educational experience. Prompted initially by a positive evolution in accrediting organization criteria, and more recently by the acknowledged advantages of an immersive and competency-based approach, the Army-Baylor faculty has sought to continue development of this methodology and provide assistance to the practitioner field in a new way. By promoting student involvement in meaningful practical experiences at some of the nation's leading healthcare hospitals and health systems, this approach affords students the reason to seek out and learn from exceptional examples of quality and performance enhancing practices. Likewise, the collection of student projects at the culmination of the residency experience provides the program a means to gather and disseminate quantifi-ably verified leading practices in the field of healthcare management. These studies have subsequently been posted for broad dissemination to emergent and current healthcare executives.
