摘要

The effect of placing fish pond sediments, deposited over a period of one year in a fish pond onto cabbage and cauliflower was investigated. Yields of cole crops showed no significance change when the sediments was hoed into the soil, but decreased steadily because of leaching. The yields showed remarkable increased when fish pond sediments were placed on top of rice straw upto double of cole crops as compared with control. Soil analysis indicated that the sediments of fish pond are more nutrient-rich when large amounts of organic matter continuously enter the pond.
