摘要

Lignocellulosic biomass, plant matter composed of polymers of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, is the most desirable feedstock for biomass conversion because it is inexpensive, abundant, fast growing, and does not compete with the production of food crops. However, although biomass pyrolysis by solid acid catalysts is one of many promising technologies for sustainable production of liquid hydrocarbon fuels and value-added chemicals, the process is still poorly understood.
