Vale reduces next year's capex to 21.4bn dollars

Brazil's iron ore mining giant, Vale, has announced investments of 21.4bn dollars for next year, some 11% below that of 2011. Vale's CEO Murilo Ferreira said that only projects approved by the company's administration board and having received environmental licence from the authorities have been included in the list in order to reduce the level of uncertainty.
