Queensland industry poised to continue developing

While not exclusively a Queensland project,December 2018 brought about the official completion of one of the most important and prolific gas projects in recent years: the Northern Gas Pipeline(NGP).Owned and operated by Jemena,the 622 km pipeline will transport gas from Northern Territory gas fields to Mount Isa in northwest Queensland.Constructed by contractors Spiecapag Australia and McConnell Dowell over a period of approximately 17 months,the NGP began commercial operations in the first half of January 2019 and has a capacity of 92 TJ per day.
