CORRECTIONS TO A PAPER REGARDING IDENTIFICATION AND HOST PLANT OF ERIONOTA THRAX LINNAEUS (LEPIDOPTERA: HESPERHDAE) IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA

Erionota thrax Linnaeus, 1767 populations reported from West New Britain, Papua New Guinea by the present authors in 2011, erroneously attributed to E. t. hasdrubal Fruhstorfer, 1910, are shown to belong to E. t. thrax. The record of oil palm (Elaeisguineensis) as a host plant for this species was also in error and should be disregarded; the correct host plant is confirmed as cultivated banana (Musa sp.).
