Greek agrochemical market up 6% in 2007

The Greek agrochemical market rose by 6.1% in 2007, compared with the previous year, according to the Hellenic Crop Protection Association (HCPA). Its members' sales totalled euro 164.4 million (209.2 million at current rate). The main drivers were price increases for some products, some 4% over two years, and high sales of phase-out products, the HCPA told Agrow. Prices had been falling for a couple of years. The association has 35 members, and accounted for 90-95% of the Greek market last year(Agrow No 531, p 14).
