Hazard and operability study (HAZOP) for plant designed to crush big-bags with agglomerated fertilizer

Potential hazards in crushing fertilizer-contg. big bags were identified and evaluated to apply the safety measures and mitigate risk to operator of the crusher. In particular, the areas of hydraulic cylinder and crushing device were found the most dangerous points in the plant.
