Group cohesion, needs satisfaction, and self-regulated learning: A one-year prospective study of elite youth soccer players' perceptions of their club team

Objectives: With an overarching aim of investigating the importance of group perceptions on factors believed to underpin the quantity and quality of athletic practice, the purpose of the present study was to examine the relationship between perceptions of group cohesion and elite youth soccer players' basic psychological needs satisfaction and self-regulation over a one-year period.
