Increased demand for raw stock of metallurgical complex in the end of 2003 - beginning of 2004 has led to revival of the iron ore output market of Ukraine and commodity flow repartition. Volumes of iron ore output have grown in the first quarter of 2004 (iron ore by 6 percent and prepared stock by 13 percent). Export of iron ore production has augmented if compared with the corresponding period of 2003 by approximately 4 percent making tentatively 4.2 mn tons. More than 1.1 mn tons of iron ore output was imported to Ukraine in the period under review (reduction by 20 percent).
