With the emergence of digital technology, many colleges and universities are transforming their libraries accordingly. From new designs in functionality and accessibility to expanded opportunities for students to explore spaces, share ideas, and collaborate and socialize with one another, academic libraries continue to evolve in a myriad of ways that emphasize student learning and growth. Indeed, a current movement underway in many academic libraries integrates re-imagined library spaces with student-produced knowledge, turning those libraries into testing grounds into which students can fully immerse themselves as they seek to innovate their schoolwork. This book describes such endeavors taking place in academic libraries across the nation, in which students, librarians, and instructors are reconstructing learning and teaching experiences, and the practice of librarianship, into collaborative partnerships that both augment and advance traditional scholarship.
