The yellow vein mosaic (YVM) disease incidence and the whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Genn.) population of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) varied under different sowing months. The first occurrence of whitefly and disease was influenced by cultivars and months of sowing. First occurrence of whiteflies has important being on the incidence of the disease. Variations recorded in vector population and disease incidence was found related to cultivar used, stage of the crop months of sowing of the testcultivars. Maximum vector population and disease incidence was found in the Cv. Local followed by Cv. Parbhani Kranti and Cv. AROH-10. The most vulnerable stage of the crop to whitefly was 30 to 60 days after sowing and to disease incidence was 60 to 90days after sowing. The highest whitefly population was recorded in the month of March and highest disease incidence was recorded in the month of April. Simple correlation study revealed that significant positive correlation was existed between whiteflypopulation and disease incidence in some month of sowing while in some months non-significant positive correlation existed.
