摘要

Studies on determination of physiological maturity stage for quality seed production in Jatropha revealed that the fresh and dry weight of seed (1.382 and 0.762 g seed(-1), respectively), germination (80 per cent), drymatter. production (3.047 g seedling(-10)), oil content (32.48 per cent)and protein content (18.37%) reached the maximum at 75 days after anthesis associated with the visual symptoms in change of fruit colour from green to yellowish orange. Hence the seeds of jatropha-attained physiological maturity at 7,5 days after anthesis with yellowish orange colour, which is considered as physiological maturity indice for harvesting quality seeds.
