NORTH AMERICAN MILL ACTIVITY

U.S. pipe and tube mills operated at 46.9% of capacity in July based upon preliminaryshipment data. This is a decrease of 0.8 percentage points from the June rate once adjusted forfinal U.S. domestic shipments. At this time last year, the average operating rate was 45.7%.These figures encompass all U.S. mills.
