NORTH AMERICAN MILL ACTIVITY

U.S. pipe and tube mills operated at 47.3% of capacity in May based upon preliminaryshipment data. This is a decrease of 0.5 percentage points from the April rate once adjusted forfinal U.S. domestic shipments. At this time last year, the average operating rate was 41.6%.These figures encompass all U.S. mills.
