Void filler protection for major road scheme

WINN & Coales Denso's void filler has been chosen to perform a key anti-corrosion role on the Junction 8 M11 improvement scheme in the UK. Due for completion this year, the 36-million pounds scheme is jointly funded by BAA and the Highways Agency. The main contractor is May Gurney Construction, with Gifford & Partners carrying out the design/build scheme. The existing roundabout at Junction 8 is supported above the M11 on 16 reinforced concrete pillars, and was constructed around 25 years ago prior to the opening of this section of the motorway. Denso's void filler has now been applied by May Gurney to the bridge abutment areas of the support pillars to protect against any future concrete corrosion.
