Many of the countries advocated for a zero tolerance approach against Marine Littering at the United Nations environmental meeting held in Kenya earlier this month. The U.N. Environment Assembly's actions are not legally binding, but more than 200 countries adopted a resolution urging much more be done about plastic waste, and some said they want the action to lead to legally binding treaties.
