Extruder MSW considering Ohio expansion

Canadian plastics extrusion company MSW Plastics Inc. is considering whether to set up a U.S. operation in Vandalia, Ohio. MSW, based in Palmerston, Ontario, extrudes PVC into proprietary technical profiles such as wall and ceiling panels, including panels with a corrugated interior, for industrial, commercial, agricultural and residential markets. It also does custom extrusion. Ohio's Montgomery County Commission approved funds Dec. 18 worth $320,000 toward a $11 million investment MSW might make to set up North American headquarters in Vandalia, said Montgomery County Commissioner Dan Foley in a phone interview. The funds would come from an Economic Development/Government Equity pool also available for other company expansions in the county. MSW could create 35 new jobs through its investment.
