Cascades develops cardboard food tray using 100% recycled fibre

Canadian sustainable packaging solution provider Cascades has developed new fully recyclable fresh food packaging using 100% recycled fibre. The new Made in Canada packaging solution is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified. The recycled fibre content used in the development of the tray consists of post-consumer sources. The company used a water-based barrier coating to develop the humidity-resistant tray and maintain its rigid form when refrigerated.
