PP plant planned in southern Turkey/Gas supply from Algeria/Earmarked for Turkish feedstock market

Construction,real estate and energy investment firm Ronesans Holding(Istanbul/Turkey;www.ronesans.com)and Algerian oil and gas group Sonatrach(Algiers;www.sonatrach-dz.com)are planning to build a polypropylene production facility in Ceyhan in southern Turkey.The 450,000 t/y PP line is expected to cost around USD 1.2 bn and be in operation by 2023.According to an agreement that was reached at the end of November 2018,Sonatrach will provide the propane gas from Algeria,which will be converted to propylene via PDH and subsequently polymerised.
