New PE production line starts up in Czech Republic

Czech petrochemical producer Unipetrol (Prague) has commissioned its new "PE3" unit with a capacity for 270,000 t/y of polyethylene in Litvinov / Czech Republic. It brings total PE capacity here to 470,000 t/y. The group built the line to replace the older "PE1" unit with a PE capacity of 120,000 t/y, which complements its existing 200,000 t/y "PE2" unit.
