Engineering Thermoplastics June 2019: Majority of prices on the decline / Weak demand from automotive sector puts more pressure on notations / Downward trend likely to continue in July

The majority of engineering thermoplastics covered by this report tended downwards in June - in some cases considerably. In most cases, this was due to weak demand from the auto sector along with good supply. The exceptions were again PA 6.6, where the price reduction was not so marked, as well as POM and PBT, where the quarterly contracts could keep prices largely stable. PC suffered the most, and last month's production cutbacks were intensified.
