September 2018: Upward trend continuing / PE particularly hard hit/ No relief in sight

The uptrend in standard thermoplastic prices in Russia continued on into September, gaining pace in some cases. All PE grades were affected due to supply bottlenecks, with rouble prices increasing by more than 5%, reports PIE's partner Plast-info (Moscow / Russia; www.plastinfo.ru). All other types, including PET, also went up again. Many prices have reached their highest level for the year, with no relief in sight as yet for October, says Plastinfo.
