More than 50 companies sign up to use recycled plastics in packaging / National EPS recycling plan unveiled

In early July, French ministers Delphine Geny-Stephann (economy) and Brune Poirson (environment) were presented with voluntary commitments on recycled plastics usage, signed by 55 companies and associations. According to the Ministere de la Transition ecologique et solidaire, there are two parts to the commitments. The first is made of voluntary commitments to use more recycled plastics by 2025, amounting to an increase of 300,000 t. This comprises 275,000 t of recycled plastics incorporated into manufactured products, as well as 25,000 t of additional collection. The ministry says this volume is a doubling of the current amount of recyclate incorporated into end products. The second part includes commitments to improve eco-design, collection and recycling.
