April 2018: Domestic spot prices rise on short supply/ PET substantially increases due to strong demand

Spot prices of all domestic standard thermoplastics in the China market increased due to low inventories. Producers hiked the ex-works prices of PE, PP and PET as a result of lower inventory levels. With supply at a high level, notations of PE and PP imports went down, while PS notations increased due to the higher styrene price. The PET price substantially rose on high demand and short supply.
