SPE Awards Program Focused on Industry Professionals and Their Achievements Six honored in 2020 for their achievements in the plastics industry

In early February,SPE announced the 2020 recipients of its prestigious awards:the Honored Service Members(HSM)Award and the Fellow of Society Award.These two awards programs demonstrate an individual’s dedication to the Society as well as achievements that impact the plastics industry.The Fellow of the Society program was established in 1984 and 348 SPE members have been awarded with the Fellow title since its inception.The HSM program started in 1992 with 345 members named Honored Service Members since the program was launched.Because of the longevity of both awards,each serves as an indicator of what the plastics industry values in the professionals who make up this extensive community.These awards continue to carry significant weight because they’re given by committees made up of a blend of professionals from different disciplines who are committed to and work within the plastics industry.
