Traditional knowledge of herbal treatment among Tai phake people of upper Assam.

摘要

Importance of medicinal plants for ailment of different diseases is most popular among the Tai phake people of upper Assam. The use of medicinal plants for prevention of diseases has performed by specialised man called Mo-Ya-Tai or Chow-Mo or Moya Tai or Sara. The Tai phake people collect their required plants either from forest or from kitchen garden. This paper represents only 27 plants which are traditionally used for herbal treatment among the Phakial tribe.
