The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has issued a response posing no objection to Kinder Morgan Border Pipeline’s request to expand the design capacity of its US-Mexico border facilities from 300 MMcf/d to 450 MMcf/d. Kinder Morgan Border stated in its initial July request that no construction or modification to its existing border crossing facilities in Hidalgo County, Texas, would be necessary to increase capacity, as this would be accomplished through upstream adjustments to its intrastate system, including new compression.
