Over objections from New York regulators, the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on October 27 granted authority to Millennium Pipeline to start construction of the Valley Lateral Project, a 7.8 mile, 127,000 Dt/d pipeline that would send gas to the Valley Energy Center, a new combined-cycle plant in Wawayanda, New York.
