Beekeeping Models for Coffee Planters A Way Forward to Bee Friendly*

Bees play an important role in the pollination of many flowering plants, thus increasing the yield of certain crops. Beekeeping gives additional source of income, besides protecting the ecosysem.While I was pursuing mechanical engineering, I got an opportunity to visit a NGO which motivated me to take apiculture as career. I experimented with two hive boxes in my home opening two windows, observing their behavior. After completing my graduate Itravelled across the country to observe what the bigscale and commercial beekeepers are doing and also where the small beekeepers are standing in this field. Then I started few entities and now 70% of all beekeeping units are supplied by my company. We are establishing beekeeping ecosystem in new places because it doesn't require high scientific materials or equipments, it is all about skills and experiences and basically an observational science.
