Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammad bin Salman is expected to unveil $35bn worth of commercial deals during his latest visit to the US, including energy sector agreements. But Riyadh's willingness to buy US weapons is President Donald Trump's focus. "Saudi Arabia is a very wealthy nation," Trump said during a meeting with Prince Mohammad in Washington on 20 March. "It is hopefully going to give the US some of this wealth, by purchasing the finest military equipment anywhere in the world." The president points out that the Saudis have finalised $12.5bn of arms deals with Washington since he visited Riyadh in May last year, with another $13bn of sales pending.
